Director's Bio

Anna Kuzina was born in Moscow, Russia in 1990. Educated at the Moscow Polytechnic Institute, she specialized in Graphic Design and further honed her craft through the film directing course at the SMF (Soyuzmultfilm) Animation Studio under the guidance of M. Aldashin, A. Alekseev, and I. Kovalev. Since 2017, she has been a dedicated film director and animator at the SMF animation studio. Her notable contributions began as an animator on projects such as TRUNKY (Giffoni Film Festival, 2018) and ANIMATANGO in 2017. In 2018, she took on the roles of director, animator, and artist for the film SNOWOSAURUS. From 2017 to 2020, she directed the popular series NEW PROSTOKVASHINO and continued her directorial work on the series ORANGE COW from 2018 to 2019. Concurrently, she directed and animated the FEERINKI series from 2017 to 2020. Her artistic talents were further showcased in the 2020 short film WARM STAR (Giffoni Film Festival 2020), where she served as director, animator, and artist. In 2022, she contributed as a character artist for the renowned series MASHA AND THE BEAR. The following year, she joined the Melnitsa Animation Studio as an animator and directed, animated, and created art for the short film AERIALIST. Between 2021 and 2023, she returned to direct the ORANGE COW series.
