Born in the jungle: the freedom of nature and the courage to embrace adventure

Set in 1950s Venezuela, at the foot of Mount Tepui, the film follows Elizabeth, a nine-year-old girl and an avid reader, who is spending her holidays in the rainforest with her family as guests of the Pemon tribe. Everything is peaceful until an unexpected event forces her parents to leave, entrusting Elizabeth with the care of her little brother, Leo. Just a moment of distraction is enough for Leo to disappear into the dense jungle, forcing Elizabeth to find the courage to venture into the rainforest in search of him. During her journey, Elizabeth also takes on another mission. She encounters a legendary creature being held in captivity and must return it to the summit of Mount Tepui. It is here that the young girl is forced to leave behind both her books and her fears. Some things may truly seem impossible. A captivating story that celebrates the courage of children and the beauty of adventure.
