EPIFANÍA
Doña Marta, an elderly farmer in the mountains of Colombia, aches for family after losing her daughter. While harvesting potatoes, she discovers a magical, golden, dragon-like creature and names her Epifanía. Taking her in as her own, Doña Marta knits Epifanía tiny sweaters and shares the wonders of nature. As Epifanía grows, so does her fascination with flight and her longing for a world beyond the mountains.
Mila Useche is a Colombian artist currently based in Japan. After studying Illustration in Berlin, Germany, she has worked as a character designer, illustrator and visual development artist for over 7 years. Her career ranges between the animation, games, editorial and fine art industries, with notable clients including Disney, Warner Brothers, Netflix, and DreamWorks. The animated short film EPIFANÍA is Mila’s writing and directing debut.
