Over five hundred activities are realized by Giffoni throughout the year. Confirming that the concept of Giffoni is multidisciplinary and transversal. A concept that has resulted in a festival and, since 1971, has proven its ability to evolve, transform, change skin, be ahead of its time, provide content, examine issues, create opportunities for comparison and exchange. These are the characteristics of the events by Giffoni. More than five hundred activities addressed to the world of youth that use the language of the new generations and are aimed at families but also at the production sector, that of the companies, at the new professions related to creativity and innovation.
Giffoni confirms itself as a space for reflection and a place for experimentation. It proved this with Verde Giffoni, a festival dedicated to sustainability, an ecology that is environmental but mostly ethic, combining these values through the universal language of cinema and arts. In 2021, it has promoted an open discussion with all the festivals and the events dedicated to cinema present on the national territory, involving more than two hundred initiatives and giving rise to a real manifesto in the sector, stressing the burden of festivals. Soon it will do so through two new chapters in its story: Giffoni Shock, section open to the new contemporary creativity, from art to communication ending with the world of audiovisual, and Giffoni Quante Storie, section addressed to emerging writers, rigorously under 30, a place where writing is valued as talent and form of expression to be used for editorial production, projects for cinema and television. That’s how Giffoni takes shape through a hundred, a thousand, million ideas and contacts. That’s how the concept of the festival becomes the starting point of a cultural project marked by inexhaustible resources and multiple destinations. A concept that produces culture, do business, creates networks and improves the world.
