GORMITI – THE NEW ERA
GORMITI – THE NEW ERA chronicles the daily lives of four teenagers from Earth who are chosen to become ‘Scions’ (protectors) and help save a fantasy realm called Gorm. Along the way, the four Scions will learn the importance of respecting nature, self-sacrifice, and the power of friendship and unity against adversity. Each Scion will be assigned a personal Gormita, one of the legendary and brave warrior spirits of Gorm, who will guide and support them emotionally. As a missing father figure for Carter, long-sought best friend for Skye, wise older brother for Zane or friend to trust for Glen, each Gormita will be crucial in guiding the heroes in their growth.
Director's Bio
Mario Parruccini
Director and director of photography, Mario Parruccini has over two decades of experience, working mainly between Rome and New York. He directed the feature film MAGARI RESTO (2020), distributed on Amazon Prime Video and RAI, and the TV series A.L.I.C.E. – ARTIFICIAL LITE INTELLIGENCE FOR CULTURAL EXPERIENCE (2020) on Amazon Prime World. In parallel with his work as a director, Mario has collaborated as director of photography with internationally renowned directors, such as the Oscar winner Paul Haggis in the short film IL CUORE DI MESAGNE and the young director Francesca Olivieri in the film ARBËRIA, distributed on Netflix. He also took care of the photography of the TV series GORMITI – THE NEW ERA, of which he is also the director. In addition to his creative activity, Mario Parruccini teaches filmmaking and storytelling in prestigious national schools, covering screenwriting, directing, cinematography, editing and color correction courses, inspiring the new generation of filmmakers. He completed the XIII Master of Writing for Cinema and TV RAISCRIPT and boasts several photographic publications. Currently, he is awaiting the release of his latest project, SINAPSI, which is in the post-production phase.
