“Becoming Human” through intergenerational dialogue, art, music and conversations on key themes like identity and technological transformation is the goal of the IMPACT! section at #Giffoni55 –  a think tank involving over 200 young people meeting with figures from the cultural, civil, institutional and entrepreneurial worlds, both Italian and international. Thursday, July 17: the program opens with a powerful and meaningful testimony from the family of Giulio Regeni and lawyer Alessandra Ballerini. Following that, a discussion with the cultural association “Ali della mente”, RAI journalist Giovanna Botteri, and singer-songwriter NEK. The day also features a focus on sustainable mobility with Leap Motor and a conversation with Aurelio De Laurentiis, film producer and president of SSC Napoli. A special session in the Sala Verde will host Paolo Ascierto, world-leading melanoma expert (2013–2023). Friday, July 18: Carrefour will present its youth-focused “Act for Food” campaign, followed by Gino Cecchettin’s testimony, Simone Giacomini (founder of Bazr), and Rosario Valastro, President of the Italian Red Cross. Saturday, July 19: speakers include journalist Corradino Mineo, science communicator Linda Raimondo, AIAS, the Valdiserri family presenting winning short films from 24 frames per second and the “Con i Bambini” Foundation. The day wraps up with comedian Herbert Ballerina. Sunday, July 20: the documentary 42 about a major unsolved Italian case will be presented by Elettra and Rebecca Orlandi, Alessandra and Emanuele De Vita and Pietro Orlandi. There will also be talks with Enel (energy), Maurizio Landini (CGIL), Conai (environment) and physicist Vincenzo Schettini, who will premiere his film Il fisico che ci piace. Monday, July 21: focus on future industries with Seda Group, international politics with Paolo Gentiloni and social engagement with Father Enzo Fortunato, Ermete Realacci and ERION. Prattquello, a food blogger and author, and Minister for Disabilities Alessandra Locatelli will also be present. Tuesday, July 22: topics include memory, innovation and social justice with SIC, Gabriele Fava (INPS), I ragazzi di via D’Amelio, Tor Vergata University and UNICEF Italy with the short film Milk Teeth about a young girl in Afghanistan. Wednesday, July 23: talks on cinema and business with Film Commission Calabria, ClimatePartner and Marco Scurria from the Italian Senate. The event is organized with Europe Direct Salerno, aiming to connect young people with the European Union. The day also includes the Build Your Future project by Intesa San Paolo, meetings with ITA Airways, the film Nero with Giovanni Esposito, and journalist Italo Bocchino. Thursday, July 24: cultural and territorial topics are in focus with the Faro Convention, presented by Massimo Andrei, Prof. Marco Alifuoco and Prof. Mauro Sciarelli. Also, Parma 2027 – European Youth Capital with mayor Michele Guerra, and Siram – Veolia, which will award the Futuro Solare association. Additional highlights include Telomero Produzioni, the film San Damiano, and the Geo Pop documentary VULC with Andrea Moccia. Friday, July 25: civil engagement with writer Antonio Dikele Distefano, Antonio Scurati, Unicredit, actress Aurora Ruffino and Dr. Antonio Amodeo. Saturday, July 26: the final day looks to the future; with Federico Mollicone (President of the Culture Commission), Prof. Marco Mondini, ANAS, Guido Boffo (Il Messaggero), ACEA and I Terconauti — a trio highlighting inclusion through art. Also attending: Roberto Napoletano (Il Mattino), Piero De Luca and Gianluca Torre, realtor, TV personality and podcast host of Casa perfetta.
