MARTA | Marta vuole giocare
Marta is a young girl with a secret dream: to become a football player and follow in the footsteps of her idol, Barbara Bonansea, a forward for the Italian National team. To achieve her goal, however, she will have to fight against a hostile social environment.
Matteo Quarta is a director, writer, editor, and lecturer born in Lecce in 1980. After graduating with a degree in Arts and Performance Disciplines from the University of Bologna, he specialized in film editing through an Advanced Training course organized by the Cineteca di Bologna, and subsequently with a Master’s in Digital Audio/Video Editing from Sapienza University of Rome.
He has worked as a freelance videomaker and editor, creating commercials, television programs, and social documentaries aired on national networks, as well as teasers and trailers for video art projects and short films.
Since 2020, he has been a member of the board of the Associazione Centro Internazionale Cinemavvenire, which organizes film festivals and literacy projects on cinematic language aimed at school-aged boys and girls.
