Nipster
17-year-old Chris feels powerless in the face of a world in flames. She longs for community, and finds it when she plunges headfirst into an eco-fascist organisation.
Sunniva Eir Tangvik Kveum was born in 1991 in Lofoten, North Norway.
She studied film at Nordland School of Art and film. Her short films have been shown at several Norwegian and international film festivals. She directed the short films: GIRLS WHO DON’T WASH THEIR HANDS (2013), AND THEN I WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU (2013), WHAT GROWS OUT OF PINK (2015), WELTSCHMERZ (2017), ROSANAZI (2020). In 2020 she graduated from the director’s BA programme at The National Film School of Norway. In 2024 she was awarded the ANNA prize by WIFTI, which is assigned to someone who, with moving images, represents the UN Women’s Convention in a strong and artistic way. She is currently establishing herself as a writing director in Norway and Sweden.
Director’s Note
I aim to reach young teens with stories that acknowledge their feelings without being patronizing. Through Chris’s story, I explore how today’s far-right recruits not through violence or symbols, but through emotional appeal and belonging—showing how easily someone can lose their sense of right and wrong.
