Rimsky-Korsakov. Flight of the Bumblebee

After graduating from the faculty of graphics at the Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute in 1978, Natalia Chernysheva joined the Ukranimafilm studio in 1975, working first as a production designer and, since 1993, as a director. Between 1993 and 2003, she shared her expertise as a teacher at the Ukrainian Institute of Theater and Cinema. A specialist in illustration and book design with over 40 published titles, she has also served as the Art Director of the International Festival of Animated Films KROK since 1997. In 2010, she was honored as an Artist of Ukraine, and in 2011 she received the Lesya Ukrainka Prize for her work as production designer on the film LITTLE BIG DOG (co-directed with L. Tkachikova).
Her extensive filmography as a director and production designer includes MOMMY ROSOCHKA AND MINECHKA (1993) and THE TALE OF THE GODDESS MOKOSHA (1996), for which she also wrote the screenplay. She scripted and directed BLUE RIDING HOOD (1998) and directed NEW YEAR – ONLY GOOD THINGS! (1999). Her later works include FOX AND DROZD (MOUNTAIN OF GEMS) (2005), ABOUT STEPAN THE BLACKSMITH (2009), and LITTLE, GREAT DOG (2010). Her most recent directorial project, CAT AND MOUSE, was released in 2015.
