On the Mergellina seafront in Naples, in a warm summer sunset, a child spends the afternoon diving, playing games, and laughing with his friend Yakoub, a Tunisian boy. Not far away, an elderly man naps on the shore.
Ivana was born in Naples in 1999. A writer, illustrator, animator, and director, she graduated in Communication Design and Animated Film from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. Throughout her career, she has published the children’s illustrated book Lo Sbadiglio with Km Edizioni and has collaborated on several film productions as a 2D/3D animator, set designer, graphic designer, and post-production assistant. Her collaborations include the RAI documentary GIUSEPPE TUCCI. SULLE STRADE DELL’EST, produced by MAD Entertainment. The animated short film CHANGE CHANGE, which she directed, was selected and awarded at numerous national and international film festivals. Through writing and the language of animation, Ivana aims to develop an artistic research focused on empathy, memory, and connections.
