STIGMA
Stigma is the story of the resilience of a woman marked by a life full of obstacles. A fighter capable of defeating even her own demons.
Director's Bio
Aida Argüelles, born in Bilbao in 1975, is a director and illustrator with a rich and varied artistic career in the audiovisual field. She began her professional career in audiovisual theatre, dedicating a decade to the development of various theater formats. His theater work includes storytelling (“B-Sides”), monologues (“Yo digo!”), children’s stories (“L”), plays (“N World”) and drama series (“900-HOPE “).
In a process of continuous experimentation, Aida has transferred her creativity from the theater to the direction and screenplay of video clips (for SONY MUSIC SPAIN and SOFAR SOUND) and short films. In 2004, Aida gained recognition as a finalist in the Fotogramas awards with her first short film ENFANCE TERRIBLE. In 2007, her short EVOLUTION IN MOTION earned her a special mention from the Nou Barris jury and a special mention at the Young Creators Awards.
Aida has also created advertising campaigns for companies such as BBVA (an online bank) and one of her campaigns, “Expanding the Fintech Revolution”, was a finalist in the 2017 Ciclope Awards, a festival dedicated to films and advertising.
