SUL PIÙ BELLO returns to GIFFONI #54 – series premieres on Prime Video from July 29

SUL PIÙ BELLO returns to Giffoni: after the successful premieres of the trilogy films, this time at Giffoni #54, jurors will have the chance to watch a preview of the new series‘ first episode, produced by Eagle Pictures in collaboration with Prime Video, which will be available on Prime Video from July 29.

Jurors will meet director Francesca Marino, co-writer Roberto Proia, and the series’ stars Ludovica Francesconi, Jozef Gjura, Gaja Masciale, Diego Giangrasso, Denise Capezza, and Giulio Cristini.

Years after the last film, the characters are now adults. They have grown up, fortified by their experiences, and have let go of past moments. The events the protagonists will experience in this series are tackled in a more realistic and adult way than in the previous three films, reveals director Francesca Marino.

For Jozef Gjura, who plays Jacopo, it is a rare opportunity to develop a character over such a long arc. Ludovica Francesconi, the protagonist Marta, also reveals that she has grown up with her character over the years. Marta becomes an adult and is able to re-evaluate her experiences from a new perspective.

New characters will appear for the first time in the series. Aurora (played by Denise Capezza) will clash with Marta. Aurora, who has always managed on her own, falls in love with Federica, and her life is turned upside down. For Marta, accepting their relationship will be very difficult. Giulio Cristini, in his first experience with the saga, describes his character Nicola as someone characterized by a common loneliness, which may change upon meeting Marta. The doctor, Dario (played by Diego Giangrasso), returns to the series with a few changes from the films.

The first noticeable change is the initial circumstances: for the first time, Marta is alone. Throughout the series, she will learn to open up more to all the characters, facing life in a way opposite to the films, which will be immediately noticeable from her change in appearance. The theme of illness remains ever-present and will become even more prominent in the series.
