U.S. PALMESE

In Palmi, a small town in Calabria, Don Vincenzo, a brilliant and retired farmer, gets the crazy idea to revive the local football team. He organizes a bizarre fundraising campaign to recruit Etienne Morville, a Serie A player, with a difficult temper, but among the strongest in the world. Although reluctant, Morville will leave Milan and move to Palmi, in order to clean up his image. In Palmi he will come up against a world based on honesty, which will turn out to be an unforgettable experience for all concerned.

Marco and Antonio Manetti, known as the Manetti Bros., are brothers and business partners who made their debut in 1995 with CONSEGNA A DOMICILIO, an episode of the film DEGENERAZIONE. In 1997, they directed their first solo feature, TORINO BOYS, which tells the story of a group of Nigerians. Their filmography also includes ZORA LA VAMPIRA (featuring Carlo Verdone, among others), PIANO 17 (a short thriller), and PAURA 3D. Their film SONG’ E NAPULE achieved widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences.
Beyond their cinematic work, the Manetti Bros. have directed popular TV shows such as L’ISPETTORE COLIANDRO, three episodes of the series CRIMINI, and the seventh and eighth seasons of REX. They have also directed over 100 music videos for some of the most popular names in Italian pop music. More recently, they directed the films AMMORE E MALAVITA (2017), DIABOLIK (2021), DIABOLIK – GINKO ALL’ATTACCO! (2022), and DIABOLIK – CHI SEI? (2023).
